Diabetic brownies recipe

           

Ingredients:
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup butter or shortening
1/4 cup applesauce
2 tbsp. liquid sweetener
2 tbsp. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten, or substitute
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 cup nuts, chopped


Directions:
Sift cocoa, flour, salt and baking soda and mix well. Add vanilla, sweetener, eggs. Stir until well-blended and add the dry ingredients. Mix until well-blended, stir in chopped nuts, pour into a greased 8-inch square pan. Level batter smoothly. Bake at 325°F for 20 minutes.
